Noli me Tangere - ribbon belt and buckle

 
“Do not touch me”- inspired by recent times. The “Noli me Tangere” series takes Tudor imagery and turns it on its head. 10% of every sale goes to the National Network of Abortion Funds. This belt is hand screen printed in metallic silver on top quality, soft, 2 inch petersham ribbon with the repeating phrase, “Noli me tangere” and is 60” long. The buckle has been hand carved and cast in white bronze as a belt slide. It can be slid over the ribbon (or other 2 inch belt) and tied behind you, or sewn to one end of the ribbon then looped around the front. Each buckle is antiqued with patina to bring out all the details and give it a well worn, ancient look. Also note that slight variations in color happen due to the nature of the patina. If a full belt is purchased then the belt will come sewn to the buckle, please make a note in check out if you would like them not attached.

The screen printing ink used does not contain ozone-depleting chemicals such as CFC’s and HCFC’s, aromatic hydrocarbons, PVC, phthalates, or volatile solvents. They don’t contain lead, heavy metals or any toxic chemicals whatsoever. The ink for screen printing has also been granted approval by the Soil Association in the UK, having successfully met the requirements of the Global Organic Textiles Standards (GOTS) for non-organic chemical inputs for use in organic textile processing. Ribbon is a mixture of viscose and cotton for a fine drape
